MTU Maintenance Canada, Richmond, Canada
MTU Maintenance Canada is the North American member of the MTU Maintenance network of companies, the largest provider of independent commercial engine services worldwide. Based in Richmond, British Columbia, the company operates a shop in the vicinity of Vancouver's International Airport where it repairs engines and accessories and performs engine tests.
The Vancouver facility holds all OEM licenses required to repair and overhaul GE CF6-50 and CFMI CFM56-3 engines. Apart from accessory repairs in its own shop, the company also offers LRU (Line Replaceable Units) management services, which play an increasing role in MTU’s service offerings.
MTU Maintenance Canada is a maintenance organization approved by the FAA, Transport Canada and other aviation authorities. It is authorized to inspect, repair, overhaul and test aircraft engines, modules and components. Repair processes include high-speed grinding, welding and Non-Destructive-Testing.
This Canadian subsidiary was founded in November 1998 as MTU’s first maintenance location abroad. Since 2003, when Canadian Airlines (now Air Canada) sold its interest, MTU Maintenance Canada has been a wholly owned affiliate of MTU Aero Engines. The company is committed to continuously improving the quality of its services to ensure high customer satisfaction.
